We only collect information that is strictly necessary to provide our services:

  • Account Information: When you register, sign up, or subscribe, we collect your email address and password hash (handled securely by Supabase Authentication).
  • Payment Information: All subscription transactions are processed securely through Paddle. DistressSignal never stores, processes, or sees your credit card number or billing details directly.
  • Email Subscriptions: If you sign up for our newsletter alerts, your email address is stored by Buttondown to facilitate email delivery.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your email address to:

  • Validate your login credentials and grant access to premium Distress Reports.
  • Send weekly report summaries or critical alerts.
  • Manage your subscription status and invoice receipts (via Paddle).

We will never sell, rent, or lease your personal email address or account details to third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your account credentials and subscription logs are stored securely using Supabase (built on AWS infrastructure) and Paddle. We employ standard database encryption, firewalls, and access controls to prevent unauthorized data access.

4. Your Rights
